Wai-man Woo completed his Master of Business Administration at CQUniversity. As well as being a highly successful businessman, Wai-man passionately pursues his interests in education and the arts, with long term leadership roles in several organisations in these fields. His exemplary volunteer contributions were recognised with the CQUni Volunteer Alumnus of the Year Award in 2016.

Wai-man is extremely involved in his community through a number of memberships and roles. These current roles include Adviser at the School of Translations and Foreign Languages at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (2016 - 2022), Honorary Life Chairman of The International Institute of Management (2018-Present), various positions including Chairman, Vice Chairman, Director – Advisory Board of Po Leung Kuk (1991-2024), Honorary Chairman of Hong Kong Repertory Theatre (2016 – Present), President (1986-1987) and Charter Member and Life Member of the City Lions Club of Hong Kong (1975-present) and Honorary Permanent President of the Hong Kong Real Property Federation (2019- Present).

Wai-man's former contributions include Vice President of the International Institute of Management (2013-2018), Board Member, Vice Chairman and Chairman of Hong Kong Repertory Theatre (2007-2016), President of The Australian Chinese Association of Hong Kong (1998-2000), and Chairman of the Executive Board of the Hong Kong Real Property Federation (2007- 2019).

Furthermore, Wai-man has been awarded the Order of Bronze Bauhinia Star (BBS) and the Order of Silver Bauhinia Star (SBS) by the Hong Kong Government in recognition of outstanding community services (2002, 2020), an Honorary Doctorate (2010) and Honorary Fellow (1997) of Federation University, Australia.

Wai-man has been recognised for developing ties between Hong Kong, Australia and the USA including honorary citizenship of Guangzhou (China), Ararat (Australia) and Houston (USA).

Wai-man is a Great Alumnus of CQUniversity, in acknowledgement of his leading roles in business and community service.
